The FESTO cylinder is composed of cylinder, end cover, piston, piston rod and seal.
The inner diameter of the FESTO cylinder represents the output force of the cylinder. The piston should slide smoothly in the cylinder, and the surface roughness of the inner surface of the cylinder should reach Ra0.8um. For the steel pipe cylinder, the inner surface should also be plated with hard chromium to reduce friction resistance and wear, and to prevent rust. Cylinder material in addition to the use of high-carbon steel pipe, or high-strength aluminum alloy and brass. Small cylinders have stainless steel pipes. Cylinders with magnetic switches or cylinders used in corrosion-resistant environments should be made of stainless steel, aluminum alloy or brass. FESTO cylinder cylinder piston adopts combination sealing ring to achieve bidirectional sealing, piston and piston rod are pressed riveted link, no nut. The FESTO cylinder end cover is equipped with an inlet and exhaust port, and some are also equipped with a buffer mechanism in the end cover. The end cover of the rod side is provided with a sealing ring and a dust ring to prevent air leakage from the piston rod and prevent external dust from mixing into the cylinder. A guide sleeve is provided on the end cover of the rod side to improve the guiding accuracy of the cylinder, bear a small amount of transverse load on the piston rod, reduce the bending amount when the piston rod is extended, and extend the service life of the cylinder. Guide sleeves are usually made of sintered oil-bearing alloy, forward-tipped copper casting. The end cover used to be malleable cast iron, in order to reduce weight and prevent rust, aluminum alloy is often used for die casting, and the miniature cylinder uses brass materials. The FESTO cylinder piston is a part of the cylinder under pressure. In order to prevent the left and right cavities of the piston from channeling each other, a piston sealing ring is provided. The wear ring on the piston can improve the steering of the cylinder, reduce the wear of the piston seal ring, and reduce the friction resistance. Wear ring length using polyurethane, polytetrafluoroethylene, cloth synthetic resin and other materials. The width of the piston is determined by the size of the sealing ring and the length of the necessary sliding section. The sliding part is too short, which is easy to cause early wear and sticking. The material of the piston is commonly aluminum alloy and cast iron, and the piston of the small cylinder is made of brass. The FESTO cylinder piston rod is the most important force part in the cylinder. High carbon steel is usually used, the surface is treated with hard chromium plating, or stainless steel is used to prevent corrosion and improve the wear resistance of the sealing ring. FESTO cylinder seals: The component seal at the rotating or reciprocating motion is called the dynamic seal, and the seal of the stationary part is called the static seal.
